I didn’t even SEE you there!

So do you ever have one of those moments where you think you see someone you know (or sorta know), but you aren’t sure it’s them and you don’t wanna risk saying hi to a complete stranger? Yeah, happens to me all the time, and it’s awkward. So my friend Kelly and I back at home came up with a plan.

See what you do, is you just kinda pretend you don’t see them until they come up and say hi to you. Then you go, “oh HEY! I didn’t even SEE you there, how are you?” They’ll totally believe you, as long as you follow these rules:

1. Don’t make eye contact. If you do know them and don’t say hi, they’re gonna know you saw them there.

2. Play it cool. Look at the trees, and take special interest in a crunchy looking leaf.

3. Don’t overact it. They totally won’t buy it if you’re too happy to see them. After all, you didn’t tackle hug them or anything.

4. Before you say goodbye, get a good idea of where they’re going. That way you can avoid that awkward, “bye! ….. oh you’re going this way too? I guess we’ll walk together and awkwardly have nothing to say.”
